I’ve been reading books on change, growth and self-help for years.  They’re not magic.  They won’t hand the perfect life over to you on a silver platter.

But they are full of ideas.  Tools.

The goal is to find the author who speaks to you — and then do the work.

Doing the work is very important.  Without the work the change doesn’t come. Through the work you learn yourself.

I can think of nothing more amazing.

For my year long journey to change my income I will be constantly referencing 4 self-help books that have really spoken to me over the years.

I will ONLY be referencing these books as I have found that I have a tendency to use reading and learning as way to escape actually doing.

Awaken the Giant Within – Anthony Robins

This is the book that changed everything for me.  I have read it several times, front to back.  I’ve loaned it out.  If you want to learn about what makes you tick, how to change limiting behaviors, how to set goals and how to read emotional signals, then this is a great place to start.

The Artist’s Way – Julia Cameron

Another book that literally changed my life and gave me permission to not only be myself — but to celebrate who I was.  Truly amazing.  Be prepared to work though.  There are quite a few writing exercises and extra tasks.

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind – T. Harv Eker

This book is great!  It’s chocked full with ideas on how to transform your inner wealth game and how you see, use and approach money.  There are tons of lessons in this book.

The Science of Getting Rich – Wallace Wattles

This book was the inspiration behind The Secret and was written long ago by a man who had studied wealth generation deeply.  It’s a very straightforward approach to visualization and meditation.  I’ve read it several times and I will be reading it again.

With these 4 books in my corner, no doubt I will have some powerful allies to aid in my quest for personal change and growth.

If you haven’t read these books, I urge you to do so.  They will change you life!
